Aruba
I understand that life can often feel like a whirlwind of responsibilities and routines, making you want to escape the daily grind. That’s why I’d like to inform you about the awe-inspiring beauty and pure joy of Aruba – the one and only One Happy Island.
Beach life
Aruba is known for its breathtaking beaches. With powdery white sand, crystal-clear waters, and a refreshing breeze, the beaches are truly enchanting. Whether it’s the famous Eagle Beach, with its iconic Divi-divi trees, the serene Baby Beach, where you can swim in a naturally formed pool, or Malmok, where you can swim with turtles, Aruba has something for everyone.
Enjoy the sun
What makes Aruba extra special is that it is located outside the hurricane belt. This means you can plan your vacation with peace of mind, without worrying about possible weather conditions. In Aruba, you can enjoy a tropical climate all year round, with consistently sunny days and refreshing trade winds. The average temperature is around 28 degrees Celsius, making it a perfect destination for beach lovers and sunseekers.
Relaxation
From luxury resorts and hotels offering ultimate relaxation and comfort, you can enjoy stunning accommodations with breathtaking views, exclusive spas, and wellness facilities that provide a rejuvenating experience. Don’t forget to marvel at the stunning beauty of the Natural Pool, a naturally formed swimming pool surrounded by volcanic rock.
Underwater world
Do you have diving experience? Then you must not miss the untouched, magnificent underwater world of Aruba. Nowhere is the sea so clear, and the marine life so colorful and diverse. From lush coral reefs to the most brightly colored fish, sea turtles, and starfish. For those truly adventurous, a wreck dive is a must. Each wreck has its own history and is surrounded by fish and covered in plants. Not an experienced diver? No worries. Aruba has several diving schools where you can take a (refresher) course.
Stay fit on vacation
For those who prefer to stay on land, climb the 500+ steps of the Hooiberg for the island’s best view. You can also opt to build a fitness routine in the open air during your vacation with the new QR-fit program. This way, you can stay fit during your holiday and enjoy the locally brewed Balashi beer even more.
A full belly
Trade adventure for the good (Burgundian) life. With over 250 restaurants, you can take your clients on a world tour without ever leaving Aruba. From trendy, healthy eateries with Instagram-worthy vegetarian dishes to food trucks with delicious local snacks, seafood restaurants on the shore, and fine dining establishments where you’ll dine like royalty. This all not only indoors in a restaurant with a sleek interior but also outdoors on the beach with your feet in the sand as the sun sets in magical fashion.
Below are three unmissable chef’s table restaurants for an exclusive gastronomic journey in paradise-like settings:
After gaining extensive experience in European Michelin-star restaurants, Urvin Croes now runs one of the best chef’s table restaurants on the island, Infini. This restaurant has space for 12 guests per evening and serves traditional dishes in a modern, refined style with locally produced ingredients.
Koal is housed in a stunning historic building and is run by two young, talented top chefs, Aruban chef Albert Raven and Dutch chef Tom Rensen. At Koal, 16 guests per evening enjoy refined dishes infused with Caribbean, Mediterranean, and European flavors in a relaxed setting.
Ever is named after chef-owner Ever de Peña. According to the restaurant, it offers a “freestyle” dining experience. At Ever, 14 guests per evening get the chance to enjoy a surprising multi-course menu. It’s also possible to experience a special wine and food pairing or sample artisanal cocktails.
Everyone is welcome
Aruba is a melting pot of more than 90 cultures, with influences from around the world. You can enjoy the warm hospitality of the local population while also having the chance to discover the island’s rich history and culture. A visit to the historic center of Oranjestad, with its colorful colonial buildings, is a must for a cultural experience. Or head to San Nicolas, the street art hotspot of One Happy Island, where you’ll be immersed in a world full of stunning murals and street art that bring the streets and buildings to life.
Aruba offers more than just breathtaking beaches.
The island’s rich culture, vibrant music, delicious cuisine, and warm smiles define it. Every experience on this island is a story waiting to be written.
